Research Opportunities

Research is an integral part of our Medical Physics educational programs, and all our faculty, students and residents are encouraged to participate in research during their time at VCU.  A wide variety of research activities are available, including but not limited to: computation physics, medical device development, translations cancer research, Nano-particle pre-clinical research, imaging techniques, and brachytherapy.

Students and residents participating in research are encouraged to submit their research to conferences, such as AAPM Spring Clinical and Annual meetings, and journal publications, such as Medical Physics, Physics in Medicine and Biology, and International Journal of Radiation Oncology * Biology * Physics.

For more information on research activities in our educational programs, please explore individual faculty members' pages for their research interests and projects and view our research lab group pages.
